Erin Clemens has been a practicing pediatric occupational therapist (OT) for 15 years and is the owner of Pediatric Achievements. Ms. Clemens is one of only three occupational therapists who is board certified in pediatrics in the state of Virginia; she is certified in Therapeutic Listening™, Handwriting Without Tears™, and has advanced training in feeding therapy, sensory processing, and executive functions. Ms. Clemens is a professor for the OTA program at NVCC and the president of the Virginia Occupational Therapy Association. This presentation will discuss the components of executive functions and their practicality to everyday life. Attendees will gain a greater understanding of how the areas are assessed, how to work with their child to improve executive function abilities, and strategies to assist with these functions at home and school.
